Going swimming?

According to The Vinegar Book doctors are now recommending some vinegar treatments as a preventative care for swimmers ear.

"Simply dilute vinegar half and half with boiled water and use to rinse out the ears after each swim.  For a more drying solution, mix vinegar half and half with alcohol.  This helps to prevent both bacterial and fungus growth."

  1. This is a great idea!! Mom says when she went to camp Nakanawa as a young girl that would put this in their ears after swimming. They would line them up and drop it in.

  2. Interesting! Thanks for sharing. Do you know of an alternative to sunscreen by chance? I know virgin coconut oil is great, but not sure how it would do in a pool of chlorine.
